Rx63 is a 4 channel DSM2/DSMX compatible micro receiver designed for use in surface vehicle: cars, boats and train locomotives. The motor output can supply up to 0.5A when the motor is stalled at 100% throttle The receiver is designed to operate from 3-13V DC but 8.4-9V should be the limit for running the ESC at 0.5A.

The receiver is available as a bare board with 2.54mm pad space for ease of soldering and with wires for battery and motor. Please contact us if you need wiring for other receiver outputs - e.g. servo/switch channels.

All versions of the Rx63 are the same hardware, the only difference is the program settings. The Rx63 settings can be changed in the usual fashion via waggling the sticks of a standard Tx or the PROG3 / PROG4 programmers may be used. The 'Direction' feature in the table above indicates whether the receiver ESC uses the throttle (chan 1) as a centre-off or full-range (low-off) control. Centre-off is the default setting for most variants. When configured for full-range (by programming), a seperate channel is used to set the ESC direction - this is channel 3 for the Tx2x railway controllers.

The default receiver setting is for the Low Voltage Cutoff (LVC) threshold to be determined from the voltage seen on initialisation - basically, the receiver firmware makes a 'guess' at the battery type. The algorithm used for this calculation means that a 9V Alkaline or NIMH battery can often be interpreted as an almost discharged 3S LiPo. The solution is to either disable LVC, or set it to the correct value for your battery; this is done by programming the receiver.

The receiver programming steps for LVC are:
