EU Duty & Fee Charges

From 1st July 2026 EU import rules require a €3 duty charge per HS code. Micron is required to calculate and pay these charges when the airmail shipment is booked. We use Royal Mail for the majority of shipments to EU countries and they provide a Postal Delivery Duty Paid service which collects the duty charge, plus a small handling fee, and pays this on our behalf.

The simple shopping cart system used at Micron cannot handle per-country pricing, nor support duty calculation at the time of placing an order online. Our solution is to acknowledge each order from a customer with an EU delivery address and present a calculation of the additional charges that must be paid. At that time, you can choose to pay the charges or cancel your order. If you prefer to know the exact cost before placing an order, please send a list of what you need and we will reply with an invoice to include the charges.

Prices shown on the Micron web site include 20% UK VAT which is deducted when items are added to the Paypal shopping cart.
